Camille Dysart

Camille Dysart (she/her) is originally from Washington state. She is a MSW student at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and expects to graduate in May 2024. Camille is passionate about research, prevention, program evaluation, and policy. She is currently a Research Assistant with Generation to Generation and also completing her practicum as an embedded behavioral health member in an Army Battalion. She is eager to continue to support children and families in varying capacities. 

Jessica Hobson

Jessica Hobson is a Texas native that grew up in Richmond. Jessica is currently a 3L at the University of Houston Law Center. She graduated from Houston Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and in Legal Studies. Jessica began interning for Generation to Generation in the summer of 2023 while also participating in a juvenile justice clinic. Jessica is currently teaching street law to male youths in a Texas probation facility while also interning in the felony trial division at the Harris County Public Defender’s Office, where she hopes to work after graduation.

 Rifqa Sa'Aadat

Rifqa Sa'Aadat is a native Houstonian. She is currently completing her degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She ultimately plans on returning to Houston to continue her career and serving her community. She loves working with children and youth and has taught preschoolers, elementary age children, street law to high schoolers, taught classes to youth detained in facilities in Harris County and has created a detention advocacy curriculum for youth in the detention center. Rifqa has presented at conferences nationally and internationally about children's issues and giving youth a voice in matters that affect them. While at Generation to Generation Rifqa also coordinated the yearly Zealous Advocacy conference and holiday drives to bring holiday cheer to youth in Harris County youth facilities.

Mike Sanchez

Mike Sanchez is an alum of UCCS and graduated with a bachelor’s in philosophy in 2013. After his bachelor’s degree, Mike worked in retail, child support, and HR. He is passionate about helping others and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at UCCS. Currently, his research is focused on LGBTQ, particularly transgender people in the youth justice system. 

Kyle Toon

Kyle Toon is a husband, father of three, disabled combat veteran, and conscientious objector to war with 13 years of military experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Phoenix and an associates in applied science in intelligence and operations studies from Cochise College. Kyle is in his last year working towards an MSW from UCCS. His research interests are primarily centered around racialized trauma, racial and ethnic injustices, cultural somatics, and African-centered history.

Raisha Williams

Raisha Williams, a native New Yorker, is currently in her 2nd year at the University of Houston Law Center. She started interning with Generation to Generation in Fall 2023, contributing to editing the youth, family and attorney handbooks for youth involved in the child welfare system. Raisha is actively involved in planning and developing our Street Law program, which unites Houston's three law schools to educate justice-involved youth in detention centers about their rights. Her background includes serving as a former CASA and working with New York City’s Department of Education, representing the public school system in impartial hearing cases. Her passion for advocating children’s rights in education drives her to pursue a career in juvenile justice post-graduation.
