Kirstyn Gonzalez
Intern, Summer 2026
Kirstyn is a first-year student at the University of Houston Law Center.
She is currently pursuing a career in public interest law with a focus on advocacy in environmental and public health conditions as they impact children’s lives.
She spent three years in Austin as a PE teaching assistant at a Title I elementary school. While working, she founded several after-school programs, assisted immigrant families connect to legal resources, and developed a deep commitment to advocating for underserved youth.
Her background in neuroscience and community work has shaped her belief that every child deserves access to support and opportunities they need to thrive. Kirstyn is passionate about utilizing law to protect children and families who lack the resources to advocate for themselves.
