Shreya Kancharla

Intern, Summer 2026

Shreya is a first-year law student at the University of Houston Law Center with a strong interest in expanding access to justice for underserved and immigrant communities.

Shreya earned a B.A. in Political science from North Carolina State University with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies.

Her interest in law stems from her past work with nonprofit and community-based organizations, such as the Orange County Rape Crisis Center in Chapel Hill, NC.

Through her academic work and professional experiences, Shreya has developed a strong commitment to public interest law and community-centered advocacy. She hopes to build a legal career centered on direct client work and advocacy to help immigrant communities navigate the legal system.
