Varisha Masroor
Intern, Summer 2026
Varisha is a first-year law student at the University of Texas School of Law with a strong interest in how the justice system functions and often fails underserved and immigrant communities.
Varisha earned her B.A. in Political Science, where she began examining the structural barriers that shape access to legal protections and remedies.
Her commitment to the law is rooted in her experience as a refugee case manager, where she worked directly with clients navigating complex and often inaccessible legal and administrative systems.
In law school, Varisha has continued to explore these issues through her focus on legal writing, statutory interpretation, and appellate advocacy. She is particularly interested in how courts interpret and apply legal rules in ways that can either reinforce or mitigate systemic inequities. She hopes to build a legal career that engages directly with the justice system, both through advocacy and litigation to ensure that legal protections are equitable and consistent across communities.
